GED Reading and Language Pathways Orientation Module 0

 Module 0 is your guided orientation to the GED Reading & Language Pathways program. Begin with the short welcome video to understand the structure, expectations, and skill progression built into each module. This introduction will help you see how the Build → Strengthen → Challenge framework supports measurable growth and prepares you for success as you move forward. 

 Designed for adult learners and the educators who support them. 

GED Reading & Language Pathways is organized into focused modules designed to build your skills step by step. 

Each module targets specific reading and language skills that are tested on the GED. Rather than covering everything at once, the skills are grouped together so you can focus, practice, and build understanding gradually. 

Inside each module, you will find: 

• Short instructional videos that explain each skill clearly and directly
• Guided practice to apply what you just learned 
• Three levels of quizzes: Build, Strengthen, and Challenge 

The quiz levels are designed to support your growth: 

• Build – Focuses on foundational understanding and step-by-step practice. 
• Strengthen – Adds depth and requires you to apply the skill in more complex passages. 
• Challenge – Reflects the level of thinking you will see on the GED test. 

You do not need to rush. 

The goal is steady progress and a clear understanding. 

Each module is organized into sections that build on one another. 
Inside each section, you’ll move through instructional slides that include short teaching videos, examples, and guided practice. The videos are placed directly within the lesson so you can learn a concept and apply it immediately. 
Work through each section in order. The skills are grouped intentionally, and each section prepares you for the next. 

At the end of the module, you will complete three levels of quizzes: 

• Build – Focuses on foundational understanding. 
• Strengthen – Requires deeper application in more complex passages. 
• Challenge – Reflects GED-level thinking. 

Move at a steady pace. The goal is clear understanding—not speed. If you need to review a section, you can always return to the lesson before continuing. Steady progress builds confidence.
